Gaétan Bobichon is a designer-maker, who plays with materials and ideas in order to find a new way of thinking and producing objects. He is interested in objects which could be seen at the boundary of technical production and aesthetic. According to him, the designer has to be engaged with society, by providing short term solutions for products but also social, emotional and humoristic objets in order to develop open consciousness. Dealing with traditional craft processes and digital fabrication, he reinsert position of craft and making in a contemporary design discourse. He likes to create a new sense according to materials and shapes by questioning value of daily life objects.He was born the 30th of March 1990 in Lyon (FR), he is currently working in Grenoble (FR) on material research and experimental design.
