Pet Lamps is a project based on the principle of Up-cycling. The purpose of this project is to transform a common everyday object into a functional product having a better attractive value. The question about values of objects is one of my main inspiration, furthermore the project promotes the making process by acting on the material itself. Pet is a series of single lamp, realized from plastic bottles molded by thermoforming technique in order to create a new shape. The wood base holds the plastic structure and the LED bulb. The next step is to build up a community, which shows the potential of up-cycling according to specific contexts in the world.
